So I got it in my head this morning to draw this scene. Where Valentine tells Sebastian why his mother is gone. I wanted it to be authentic so I got @CassieClare to write the dialog!

All I can think is “Holy shit, Kim! How’d you fit your feet in those shoes?” OUCH!

No one would blame Kim Kardashian for staying home, putting her feet up, and wearing leggings as pants for the next two months. At this point, we’d all prefer the break. But, no, she has made commitments to appearances and apparently to wearing dresses that aren’t her size anymore, and she will keep them.

Everyone knows I’ll wear uncomfortable shoes and dresses as fashion requires such sacrifices, but even I wouldn’t do this to myself. She looks miserable.

I’m going to regret what I’m about to say, but here it is —

Some highlights from tonight’s #iconstour for @msothl’s ICONS release in @bnsantamonica.

Authors Marie Lu, Tahereh Mafi, Alyson Noel, Kami Garcia and Ransom Riggs joined Margaret Stohl as they shared laughs over bad story ideas, the inability and dislike to pitch one’s own book, and funny life occurrences that shaped their books.

Fans were treated to a Q&A by the authors and everyone got their books signed as they chatted with everyone. There are still some signed copies of all the books from all of the authors present and you can call Santa Monica B&N at (310) 260-9110 to reserve or order your copy.

Don’t miss Margaret Stohl TUESDAY, May 14th in Salt Lake City at 7pm at the King’s English – Margaret Stohl with Ally Condie, Shannon Hale and Stephanie Perkins.

View of downtown LA from the Griffith Park Observatory. I imagine @mstohl’s Dol from Icons saw a version of this when looking out. Except a lot more beat up.

I wonder how the landscape and skyline of future LA would differ from the one I saw looking out over the horizon.

Icons is out Tues, May 7th. Pick it up and see what Dol, the main character, was up to looking from this vantage point and for a glimpse into what her world looks like.

Photo Challenge Time

So, I had this crazy idea a few months ago. And well, here it is!

I thought of doing a daily assignments for myself. I wanted to explore things I hadn’t in a while and at the same time push myself with things I might not have done.

I’ll post my photos on Instagram and then on my blog, vlcphoto.net, with some tips, tricks and challenges I’ve faced shooting that day’s shot.

So, I’d love it if you’d join me! I would love to see your images too. At the end of the week I’ll post some of your images to share so make sure to tag me and with the hashtag #photoclassaday!
